Resound
The Challenge
Dispensers have a difficult task in presenting a large amount of data to help patients understand their medical condition and select a product that best suits their needs. The complexity and arrangement of this data is a critical component in a patient's decision-making process and is the core of the solution.
ReSound needed an engaging and effective counseling application engineered to gauge hearing loss conditions and recommend custom solutions.
The Solution
A simple yet flexible app to guide patients and dispensers through the process. Using overlays in context of the experience allowed dispensers to display more information only when necessary.

First, I created a flow of the entire process around getting a hearing aid. Information about the patient and dispenser came from previous research done by ReSound. This helped us understand how the app would be used and how patients and dispensers feel and behave while engaging with the app.
I then started laying out strategic concepts to serve as a guide for the design of the app. I knew that dispensers needed access to a lot of information, but patients would feel overwhelmed by the complexity, so the presentation needed to be simple yet flexible.
The result was an intuitive user experience for both dispensers and patients. Dispensers were able to guide patients through the process, using information in context with their visit, enabling patients to feel confident in their choice.
